DCA.1   c 1905  Handwritten label on back: "Springbrook--Built by Abram VanKeuren, Jr., about 1795. Home in early 1900. This picture, taken of Mrs,. Theo deLaporte, great grand daughter of Abram VanKeuren, Jr. Owned by family until sold to Rhinebeck Realty Co." There is also a label from the framer, "Edward L. It was found by the Dutchess County Agricultural Society in a trailer used for storage, recently damaged when a nearby tree fell on and damaged the trailer, requiring that it be emptied of its contents. DCAS has not record of how the photograph came to be in the storage trailer. Springbrook Farm is now the site of the Dutchess County Fairgrounds. Built by Abram VanKeuren in 1800, the farm house was enlarged several times by his daughter Julia and her husband, Thomas Reed. Their descendant, Helen Reed deLaporte, sold the property to the Rhinebeck Realty & Development Co, which later sold to the Dutchess County Agricultural Society. The house was torn down in the 1950s.  DCA.1.jpg VanKeuren DeLaporte  Rhinebeck  Photograph  Agriculture,  possibly Theo DeLaporte  vertical
