Robert Asher Photo Collection: Asher Family Photographs
Early 20th century
Robert Asher in 1994 reported that the photos were found in the Miller House on Mill St. once occupied by his grandfather, J. Howard Asher. So they probably are Asher Family photos. Only 2 of the approx. 26 photos are identified; one of J. Howard Asher.

Rhinebeck Proposed Zoning Changes
09/21/2000, 10/18/2001
Gazette Advertiser article dated 09/21/2000 reports "proposed zoning changes that would affect owners of home businesses and accessory buildings as well as those living and working along primary watershed areas." The proposed changes would raise allowable guest rooms in B&Bs from three to five rooms; allow for 12 guest rooms in "Country Inns;" clarify regulations concerning the size of hotels and motels; create a new designation of a "Recreational Vehicle Park" with a temporary parking provision; modify requirements for guest cottages to limit impact on neighboring properties; create a "Water Resources Protections Overlay District" to protect ground water. Gazette Advertiser article dated 10/18/2001 addresses the anticipated adoption of some of the aforementioned zoning changes at a November 2001 meeting.
